Can I just rant how much I heart this couple? From our first meeting via FaceTime, I could just tell we would click.
Ya know why? They had a clear idea of what they wanted their wedding day to feel like.
Y’all gotta dream not just about the dress or the invites but also about those vibes! These two knew that they wanted to highlight not themselves but rather, God and their people.
They wanted service to be a central theme of their wedding day.
Heart thump.
Angel children these two! And they truly lived out their vision of service for their wedding day by serving everyone in their buffet line.
Yes. Them. The bride and groom.
Gloves on. Serving utensils in hand.
They had one-on-one interactions with each of their guests.
These two are better together. And can we just dial it back?
These two met at Sunset Church.
And, according to the couple, Richard pursued Jaimie but she wasn’t interested at first.
But he persisted and waited.
And Jaimie warmed up.
Guys, persist!
Haha, this is how they summarize their story (and credit In-And-Out for some of this romance too):

Our stories of how we met are two different versions. Richard believes that he met Jaimie when a group of church friends went to eat at Perillas, and Jaimie, well she doesn’t remember when they first met. Nonetheless, they both agree that they met through church. We were eventually in the same small group at church where we started to get to know each other more. After a year of being in the same small group, Richard (with the encouragement of friends) decided to ask Jaimie out. Her first response was to politely say no. After about a month or so, Richard realized that she was texting more. On the night of Halloween, after the College and Young Adult fellowship at church, a group of people went to eat at In-N-Out. Richard drove, so on the way back he also took some people home, one of them being Jaimie. She was the last one to be dropped off. When she got out of the car, Richard noticed she wasn’t getting into her car right away. Richard eventually parked and got out to talk to her. After a brief discussion, Jaimie said something along the lines of, “if you’re still interested do you still want to go out on a date?” Joyfully, Richard said, “of course!” To this day, Richard claims he was too irresistible. I would argue that they are both irresistible.

From the way that Richard opened his hotel door still with bedhead on his wedding day contrasted with Jaimie’s flossing her teeth in her wedding dress – their balance delighted me and solidified a place for them in my heart as one of my faves.
