You know, I have a weird sense of humor.

And I’m an introvert. So when silly ideas pop into my head. I laugh. By myself. And have the best time.

[RANT: Actually, it was a similar situation that made me stumble upon the name ComePlum. Those were two words that rhymed but weren’t spelled the same and it made me happy. Really, that’s it.]

Earlier this summer a silly idea came to my mind palace and did a little jig, “ju ain’t beautiful but July”.

It made me giddy just munching on that sentence.

And I had the gumption that maybe, just maybe, it may make other people laugh too. So why not make a whole calendar?! And handletter it? And make it for sale for the holidays? And have a portion of the proceeds do some social impact?

So logical.

And now this project is here and it’s live!

The first bit of sales happened last weekend when I had the privilege to be part of #localandglobalmarketplace, an annual event put on by my friend Shauna (www.shaunapilgreen.com) where shoppers can buy holiday presents that do good. 

I shared a spot with my biffle Claire and her company 14Valencia (www.14Valencia.com), a fashion jewelry company whose profits benefit an orphanage in China.

Isn’t it wonderful when your roommate/SF sister/fellow entrepreneur has the same aesthetic? hallelujah hands emoji.

This was a great way to kick-off this holiday project! But for my friends around the country, I am so happy to launch these babies online 🙂

Picked these babies up from the printer! And regretted that I walked 4 blocks home carrying them. #struggles.

Tom comes over for tea. This time I bribed him with tea + spanakopitas and then asked him to help me package a hundred products. He is my business advisor and our right-hand dude! Everyone needs a Tom in their life.
