Home is where you dance to The Lumineers.
Home is where you hang the ox head from your past life as a middle school science teacher.
Home is each other.
Home is a well-worn sweatshirt; it’s bumping into friends along Chestnut Street.
It’s supporting the handmade.
Home is dried mangos with your boo.
This is Cándida and Jeff; 3 years into marriage, but daily celebrating like newlyweds.
They are finders and discoverers, appreciators of jackets with big pockets & well-worn bandanas.
Home is loving the city you’re in and knowing that it will not always be at the same address.

So grateful to do this ethically styled home shoot with Suzanne and Kevyn (Jill of all trades!) of Atelier Des Modistes and Natasha of The Consistency Project. Highligting Bay Area businesses like Suzanne’s and Natasha’s that are unique, passion-driven, and direct-to-consumer was a no-brainer. It was all about mixing these tailored pieces with items previously loved by others. It’s couture meets comfortable. A perfect vibe for this hard-working, yet ever yolo-ing couple. So pumped to be rubbing elbows with other small business owners with a vision for doing good.

This was an “I-want-to-remember-this-moment” shoot with the Wohlgemuths who sought to capture their San Francisco home and Marina neighborhood before they head to their next chapter in SoCal. Isn’t their personal and home style just K I L L A H?! Watch out for Cándida’s forthcoming home/interiors line (perhaps hints of Guatemalan textiles in the pipeline?) I know our little apartment at @85bstudio cannot wait to be styled by this lady.

Buckle your seat belts: I have more projects coming your way that highlight socially conscious, eco-friendly, and sustainable lifestyles. Can’t wait to share them with you!
